I'm an 18-year old girl, with no athletic background whatsoever. Running a marathon has always been on my bucketlist, and this year will be the year that I will get my act together, and start training.
Just to make this clear: I did not make this blog because I want to lose weight or something. In fact, I’m pretty sure it would not be healthy for me if I would lose any weight.
I’ve always been thin, because I’m ‘blessed’ with a very fast metabolism. Sure, it comes in handy most of the time, but when your friends are jealous of you (and sometimes even angry), it’s not so fun. All my life, I’ve barely weighed enough to stay in the ‘green zone’, and there were times when I had to count calories - to make sure I got enough.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided I was going to start getting healthy. People often think that thin equals healthy, but that is not the case at all.
Please don’t aspire to be thin - aspire to be healthy, because that’s the most important.
